Notes Sharing & Privacy
Aspiron provides granular control over who can see and access your notes.
Privacy Levels
Private (Default)
- Only visible to creator
- Not accessible to anyone else
- Fully personal
- Cannot be found in search
Peer Shared
- Visible to specific peers you share with
- View-only access
- Cannot edit your notes
- Can comment (future)
Public (Community)
- Visible to all students
- Read-only for community
- Attached to forum posts
- Can be searched
Sharing Controls
Sharing a Note
- Open note
- Click share icon
- Select privacy level
- Confirm
Sharing with Peers
- Enter peer’s username
- Send share request
- Peer accepts
- Note appears in their shared notes
Making Public
- Select “Public” option
- Note becomes searchable
- Visible to all students
- Can be attached to forum posts
Revoking Access
- Open note
- Change privacy level
- Access is revoked
- Notes disappear from shared views
Community Notes
What Can Be Shared
Students can share:
- Summary notes
- Important formulas
- Concept explanations
- Practice insights
- Study tips
What Should NOT Be Shared
Students should not share:
- Full copied content
- Copyrighted material
- Incorrect information
- Spam or promotional content
Quality Standards
Shared notes should be:
- Original content
- Accurate information
- Helpful to others
- Properly organized
Forum Integration
Attaching Notes
When posting in forum:
- Can attach your public notes
- References appear in post
- Others can view attached notes
- Credited to original creator
Citation
- Notes show creator name
- Attribution preserved
- Cannot be claimed as own
- Builds community reputation

Student Control
Students always control:
- Who sees their notes
- What notes to share
- When to revoke access
- How notes are used
Platform Commitment
Aspiron does NOT:
- Share notes without permission
- Sell note data
- Show notes publicly without consent
- Use notes for AI training (without consent)
Data Protection
- Notes encrypted at rest
- Access logged for security
- Privacy violations investigated
- GDPR compliant (future)
